This smoothie #recipe featuring #UdosOil and #turmeric will give your body the health boost it needs in the morning! ... See MoreSee Less
Originally from the Punjab, this traditional Indian drink is typically enjoyed at lunch time and as a means of cooling down in hot weather. We enjoy it equally for breakfast and in milder weather, with perhaps less ice. In addition to the incredible health benefits the plant-based oils and the turmeric bring individually, the beauty of putting Udo’s Oil Blend and fresh turmeric together in this #recipe is that the active ingredient in #turmeric (curcumin) is fat-soluble. Recent studies have shown that, in combination with omega-3-rich oils, turmeric boosts #DHA levels in the brain. That means that making this lassi could – literally – be the smartest thing you do for yourself (just couldn’t resist!). Serves 4 (makes about 4 cups) 2 ripe sweet mangos, skin and seed removed, chopped 1 cup plain Greek yogurt ¼ cup Udo’s Oil 3·6·9 Blend 1 inch fresh turmeric root (about 1 teaspoon), minced ½ teaspoon cardamon powder 1 tablespoon honey (optional) 1 cup water 4 ice cubes INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth; about 1 minute; 2. Pour into individual glasses and serve immediately. #recipeoftheday #smoothie
